Anthony’s Journey

Question 1

Q: What inspired you to start your journey towards health and why is health so important to you?

A: What inspired me in the beginning was just me feeling better. Living a active but very unhealthy lifestyle was catching up to me. So when I turned 35 years old 5 years ago I decided to treat myself better and it's been the best investment ever.

Question 2

Q: If you could give any word of advice to anyone struggling with making changes to their health, what would it be?

A: If I could give people advice on health and fitness I would first ask them is this something you really want for yourself.  Because this is going to take a consistent grind, 2nd I would suggest them come up with a program and structure that they can be consistent with, and I really think it helps finding a community or finding friends to do this with them. I really think a support system helps a lot. And the last thing you have to be patient with this it isn't going to happen overnight.

Question 3

Q:Walk us through your typical day as a personal trainer.

A: My typical day starts with me first I really believe in practicing what you preach. So I workout 5 days a week, I also have fit camps that I run 4 days out of the week for my local clients.

Question 4

Q: How do you access clients and how can potential clients get in touch with you?

A: How I get most of my clients is word of mouth and social media. Predominantly Instagram. Paying attention to who watches my stories and who likes my post. Reaching out to them and sharing what I do and what I offer as a wellness coach.

My Instagram is @Making_fit_fun

Thank you Mia for asking me to do this!!!!

Ways you can contribute to Men’s Health Month

Men’s health month is a great opportunity to show what we all can do to help men all year. Below is our short list to appreciate and show care towards the important men in your life.

  • Encourage him to get a physical- Many of the factors that contribute to a shorter life expectancy for men are often preventable. Being proactive begins by taking action and seeing a healthcare professional regularly.
  • Encourage him to get physical- It has been scientifically proven that physical activity plays a huge role in the quality of life for people to stay healthy. Some find it difficult to stay motivated to exercise on their own. Take this as an opportunity to join a loved one in recreational activities or a group personal training session.
  • Let him know you care- One reason men disregard their own health is that they’re too busy taking care of everyone else. Many men have a habit of dealing with chronic pain or symptoms without the help from a medical professional. Remind a loved one that their health is important to you. Encourage them to put themselves as a priority.
  • Wear blue- In 1994, Congress passed a bill declaring the week before Father’s Day as Men’s Health Week (this year, it’s June 10-16). Encourage family and friends to wear blue that week.
